A bit of History
in 2019, my father was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer; every year since 2019 I have donated one month’s worth of sales to fox chase cancer center in my Dad’s name. Unfortunately in 2021, my Father succumbed to the disease. it has been really important to me to continue giving in his name-not only to keep his memory alive, but also in hopes to give someone in the future a success story. in 2023, these donations started going directly to The Greenberg Pancreatic Cancer Institute at Fox Chase Cancer Center to support future Pancreatic Cancer research. Over the past six years I’ve been able to donate a total of $10,600 solely through ceramic sales and from the help of supporters like you!

About the work
when my father passed, my brother and I inherited his collision center, which we operate full-time as a team. Realizing I had less time to chase my own career goals, I started experimenting with my ceramic process. Why couldn’t I spray my ceramics in the same paint booth that we are refinishing cars in? And so I did. Each hand-sculpted piece is primed just as a vehicle would be and hand-sprayed in a genuine automotive paint code. The joining of my two worlds; cars & ceramics, has kept my artistic spirit alive and has helped me stay connected to my Dad.
Because you didn’t ask…
This year’s donation is particularly special to me. I married my soulmate and it was bittersweet to say the least; My father wasn’t there to walk me down the aisle. I was never the little girl who dreamed about her wedding day, but when the day came, it was a hard to accept that he couldn’t be the one to hand me off. I did my best to make his presence felt, and so my brother and nephew drove me to the aisle in my Pops’ 1970 Chevelle to “Here Comes my Girl” by Tom Petty. If you knew my Dad, you’d know he was a huge Petty fan- and that he would have thought this entrance was absolutely bad-ass. For this reason, I just had to use the paint code for the Chevelle for at least one of the raffle pieces. it’s just that close to my heart.
